From September 23 to 24, 2013, we.CONECT invited an international audience of social business collaboration professionals, team leaders and managers to discuss current challenges and the latest development of social business collaboration to the Social Business Collaboration event 2013 in Berlin.
More than 120 attendees gathered to discuss current challenges, new approaches and future trends in the field of Social Business Collaboration. Participants, speakers and business partners took part in a highly interactive conference and used the opportunity to discuss experiences, network, benchmark projects and exchange ideas and best practices.
More than 120 participants from over 80 companies from all over Europe, Asia and the USA discussed future challenges and latest approaches in the area of Social Business Collaboration.

More than 20 presentations and keynotes
Inspiring discussions and presentations regarding the core topics of the conference, embracing the development of a value improving social collaboration strategy, mobile apps, video conferencing and micro-blogging as opportunities, community building, knowledge management & open innovations, optimized security control, delivering strategy and business results and integration of social intelligence and collaboration on smart platforms fulfilled the participants’ expectations.
Throughout the two conference days, insightful case studies were presented and fruitful discussions took place. On the eve of the first conference day, the Icebreaker sessions provided a first opportunity to network, benchmark and discuss, while allowing the participants to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere at the STEIGENBERGER Hotel Berlin, Germany.
The first conference day
The first day of the conference was focused on the latest developments and emerging trends in the field of social business collaboration. The presentations and case studies dealt with the development of a holistic collaboration strategy and increase of business value through collaborative media, steps to implement a social business strategy successfully and the journey to working social. Furthermore, participants elaborated on the key challenges of platform integration & management, global online communities, project networks and interactive applications were discussed.
we.CONECT Challenge Your Peers
Participants suggested and explained numerous difficulties and challenges they encountered in their daily work and throughout their experience in the field of social collaboration, and contributed different potential solutions.
In addition to the outstanding presentations of the event, we.CONECT strived to achieve more. This is why we asked each participant ahead of time for further topics, questions and issues they feel are important to address. Based on this information, we created innovative and exciting “Challenge your Peers” roundtables. Each table dealt with important topics which participants had shown interest in. discussions lasted for most of the afternoon on the first-day.

The first evening ended with a delightful networking dinner at 12 APOSTEL restaurant, famous for its Italian atmosphere.
The second conference day
The second day started with the presentation of the virtual-tool based business collaboration, followed by contributions to the meeting audiences across seven seas and the unlocking enterprise knowledge with gamification. Transforming into a high performing organization through mobile collaboration, long-term social business collaboration strategies, digital utilities and leveraging innovation processes with a dedicated social tool completed the informative case studies from leading companies.
we.CONECT World Café
Through a series of small intensive, interactive and innovative round table discussions delegates were able to exchange ideas and best practices on important topics and problems/issues faced.
During the World Café Sessions in the morning of the second day, participants were given the opportunity to discuss and share ideas on the following six core issues:

Tool Café: End user centricity in social business collaboration projects
Collaboration Café: Measuring impact – gaining the greatest benefits from enterprise-wide social collaboration

Mobile Collaboration Café: Mobility is there! Are organizations ready to be mobile?
The key objective of the discussions was to create a new perspective on the six issues.
